Fotofestiwal in Lodz

Every year is Lodz welcoming all photography fans on it famous Fotofestiwal. What I found very interesting is that this year is also included a video artist, which in my honest opinion confirms how a video is becoming even more important tool to creative artists.

Just like slightly disturbing video Night in white satin by Ange Leccia

Photo Opportunities by Corinne Vionnet

Conducting online keyword searches for monuments, Swiss/French artist Corinne Vionnet culled thousands of tourists’ snapshots for her series Photo Opportunities. Working with a hundred photographs of a single monument, the artist weaves together small sections of the appropriated images to create each layered, ethereal structure.

Dreaming Walls by Lucia Ganieva

In a small, remote village in the Udmurt Republic of Russia, photographer Lucia Ganieva discovered a wonderful anomaly in home decoration — the interiors of practically every home in the village feature room-size photographic murals of “exotic” scenes, which symbolize the distant places that the home-dwellers will never visit, except in their dreams.

Animal Regulation on Fubiz.net

"A very interesting work with this series “Animal Regulation” by the photographer Di Liu, 25 years old. It gained the price Lacoste Elysium 2010 pennies the aegis of the Museum of the Elysium, thanks to these stereotypes over the animals put in scenes in several cities" (Fubiz)

Jessica Rice - Photography and Concept

The role of photography in contemporary art sometimes could be different from how it used to be. Photography could be just a part of concept, its record. I think that it is amazing way how to extend possibilities of photographic expressions.

Young british artist Jessica Rice is using photography as a tool. I adore her art works dealing with the topic of youth like "Playing with the monkey" . Her works surely deserve your attention.

Interview with young China photographer Ling Li

Asian phototographers have usually a bit different point of view. Sometimes more poetic, focused on detail and humans. I ve found this interesting interview on Adrew Gibson Blog.

Daniel Polevoy on Sweet station

Partly funny, partly scary collages form young Ukranian photographer Daniel Polevoy could be joke as well as warning.

Avenue of Beloved by Grant Yoshino

I ve found this series on Ben Trovato blog and I really like the punk-glam style of it mixed with bright colors and decadent lighting. I can feel the anarchy of Terry Richardson in it.
