Fotofestiwal in Lodz

Every year is Lodz welcoming all photography fans on it famous Fotofestiwal. What I found very interesting is that this year is also included a video artist, which in my honest opinion confirms how a video is becoming even more important tool to creative artists.

Just like slightly disturbing video Night in white satin by Ange Leccia

"Sail away with the National Maritime Museum’s Waterline set of photos from the golden era of cruise ships! Spanning the decades from the 1920s to the 1970s, this set contains some of the 16,000 Marine Photo Service (MPS) negatives in the Museum’s collection." -flickr-

Civil War Faces from Library of Congress

"These fascinating photographs represent the impact of the war, which involved many young enlisted men and the deaths of more than 600,000 soldiers. The photos feature details that enhance their interest, including horses, drums, muskets, rifles, revolvers, hats and caps, canteens, and a guitar. Among the rarest images are African Americans in uniform, sailors, a Lincoln campaign button, and portraits with families, women, and girls and boys. " -Flickr-
